About Me

I completed my Math Ph.D. at Duke University, where I worked on problems that combined graph theory, biology, statistics, and machine learning. However, I always felt myself having the most impact when I was teaching and helping others understand math at a deeper level. Having taught math, and seen it be taught at many different institutions, I learned that even students who proudly claim that they "hate math" can become interested in the subject if they are given the confidence and a reason to connect with the material beyond memorizing formulas. My current goal is to teach math in an organic, fun way while also helping students with their academic goals.
